Have you evered wondered what to do with this?
Or this?
Well how about doing this.
Super cute, right?
And might I add very adorable on a Birthday or Valentines Table. So save all your little scraps and instead of throwing them away, curl them with the dull side of a pair of scissors. Then roll them around a pencil for more curl and save them in a ziplock baggie. When it comes time to throw that party you have a fun decoration to sprinkle all over the cake table. With no extra cost or effort. The skinnier the paper the better they curl too. Craft On Party People...Craft On.

Valentine's Mantle
The 3d hearts are just 2 hearts with half of the top of one slit in the middle and half of the bottom of one slit in the middle. I slid them together and put a bead of hot glue on each side to hold it together.
The "Flowers" are various sizes of circles and flower cuts layered in different papers. Then I hot glued them to wilton cake dowel rods used for layering cakes.
These heart stands were made in DS but could easily be made gluing rectangles to the back of a heart. I welded a heart to a long rectangle in DS after making a copy of the altered heart I was using. I lined them up to fit as many on a page as I could. Then I cut the hearts out and the letters spelling out be mine. I wish I would have used all dark colored paper for the hearts so the letters would show up better. Then to assemble I glued the letters to hearts then hearts to the stand. I scored the stand at 4 inches, 6.5 inches, and 9.5 inches. I folded up the triangle and glued the end piece of the stand back onto itself forming a triangle and stand.

So Easy It Hurts
This is one of those projects that you feel guilty even doing it because it is SO EASY...I have these cute ribbons and ric rac and knew once I accumulated more they would get unorganized. So in Cricut Design Studio I made a spool shape with Accent Essential Cartridge. I used a square and 2 circles which I made into an oval. Gotta love the DS. I then cut them out on some cute October Afternoon paper and glued the 2 sides together. Then because I don't trust adhesives I sewed the edges. Which makes it super cute anyway. Hope you enjoy and try yourself. Oh yeah, and I stopped the cricut because there were these funny little holes that it was going to cut in all the spools. I didn't notice it until it was cutting them and if I had changed it then it wouldn't have been "So Easy It Hurts."

Iron On Transfer Experiment
My first iron on transfer experience went fairly well. Funny thing is I made the onesies now I just need to give them as a gift. I got the dog template from Anna Marie Horner's blog. I actually scanned a fabric I had and printed it out on fabric transfer paper. I suppose it would be considered the lazy crafters applique. I cut out the shape of the puppy and follow the paper's instructions. The flowers are from scraps of the paper that I just cut out and placed in the shape of a flower. I still have so many scraps left I could probably make 4 more flower shirts or onesies. Using this technique the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to try many many more. It pays to be creative when using your scraps you never know what you will come up with.
Another option would be to cut the paper with the cricut. I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon. How cute would that be to coordinate a first birthday onesie with all the other decorations based off of whichever cartridge you were using. That new once upon a princess cart or hello kitty. I also saw a picture somewhere of a new robot cartridge coming out this year. For all of you women who craft but don't sew this is the project for you.

Projects I NEED To Finish
The first is a blanket made from my husband's firefighter sweatshirts. It may look done, but I still need to finish the edges.(It was supposed to be for Christmas, maybe now it will be for his birthday.) The second is magnetic board I am going to put in the frames I also have some pegboard to paint and put in them too. The magnetic board needs about 2 more coats of magnetic paint and whatever color I choose. I thought if I posted them as need to finish it would push me to finish.
