I hate New Year's Resolutions...but I will make a list

So every year people want to get a "fresh start" and are motivated to do things they wish they did regulary, but don't. I hate the idea of a Resolution because it is so final and ultimate. You can only have one-lame. There are so many things that I want to learn and follow through with one seems like such a big decision. Too big for me. I don't even decide what I want to do until I am doing it. But I believe it is a good idea to make a list of goals to learn or try. There are a few crafts looming that I haven't tried yet and some that I am going to follow through with in the next year. In 2010 I will do the following.
1. Screenprinting-haven't done
2. Knitting-haven't ever done
3. Blog atleast 1 time per week
4. Paint all the upstairs trim that needs it
5. Make Lil Blue Boo's Sienna dress and Halter Tie Back Dress
6. Make a onesie out of a vintage tee
7. Make a gift and card for everyone of my family memebers this year
8. Decorate all of the 4 bedrooms in my house
9. Take pictures of all my projects
10. Make beer with my husband

Apple Picking

Apple Picking with the girls. Could fall be any better?

Our Fall Decor

Easy Peasy! I got the bats from a template from Country Living. I traced them on cereal boxes, cut them out, and painted them black. I love how simple they are.

My First Post

I thought it fitting for my first post to be pictures of my beautiful daughters birthday party last December. I love going all out for birthdays. It gives me a good excuse to go overboard...which I am known for.

I made the 3 layer all pink cake. I made a topper with a dowel rod, pretty paper, and cut out an a. I made the banner in the dining room by cutting out tons of circles with my cricut in all different pretty papers and sewing them together. I have also done this with pain white paper and drawing "stiches" in red and made baseballs. Lots and lots of baseballs. The most difficult part is keeping them from getting all tangled. I also designed the invitations. As a thank you gift I made a slideshow of pictures of the girls from the past year and burned it onto a DVD.
